From the President...

Greetings to all alumnae living in the Fairfield Villages area! By geography, our club is vast. Our western boarder runs along Westport, Weston  and Ridgefield and our club includes the remainder of Fairfield County,  reaching as far north as Sherman and as far west as Shelton —over 190 members! We would love to get to know more of you and hope to see you at one of our events!  Volunteering to host programs and become active in our board is also a great way to make lasting friendships.

Our annual events include the Day to Make a Difference, Holiday Cookie Exchange, the Annual Wine Tasting and a Spring Speaker.  Our members often meet for eat (via the lunch-bunch hosted by Cubbie Hickcox) and we are always looking for ideas for new events to get together.

Our club is actively involved in recruiting, a result of Christine Gaspar’s work as our AAR and if you are interested in supporting her efforts, please reach out to her.

We have a facebook page.  It’s a great resource to see what is going on and can be found here..

Finally – a word about dues.  You can pay them by clicking here  Your dues go to support all of our events, our Book Award and our Scholarship Fund.  The Book Award is given once a year to 22 local female high school seniors and provides great recognition for our Alma Mater. In addition, through the FVWC Scholarship Fund we provide a student from the area with approximately $10,000 as part of her financial aid package to attend Wellesley.

If you are new to the area, please feel free to get in touch with me. Please be sure to update your information with the Wellesley online community so you receive our mailings. We send most communications via email, so please make your preferred email is on file with the College.
